The room was a nice size, quiet, and clean. The bathroom (shower only) was ok too. The lobby was on the 1st floor and nice. The staff was pleasant but didn't try too hard to impress. The balcony/terrace off the lobby level was sunny and lovely. The location was great! All in all a good place to stay.

Great location for all big attractions, Riverwalk was right behind us less than 4 mins. We visited the Market Square that was a nice 15-20 mins walk but lots to see in the way! The Alamo was literally right down the street! Loved our stay very much! If you enjoy whiskey, a whiskey distillery right across the street and donuts and coffee right next door!

Fab location for visiting downtown San Antonio. Very close to The Alamo and to the river. Recommend walking along the river the The Pearl Brewery (about 1 miles). The river walk is fabulous with some great bars an restaurants very close to the hotel. Breakfast was great (except cereals, see below). Lovely mushroom & cheese omelette and plenty of bacon

From the beginning of arriving the valet staff was wonderful, Damien was the gentleman that greet it us and was very informative and his customer service was on point!!! The front desk agent named Marquee was also very friendly helpful and informative his customer service was excellent, I would recommend and will stay at the Hilton Garden Inn San Antonio Downtown Riverwalk again in my future trips to SA!! Breakfast Buffet was also a plus the ladies and the chef Rene were wonderful and the food tasted amazing!! Cant say enough about my experience. It has definitely topped my stays at many hotels near this one and Im glad I made my reservation here.
